Kalie Jesel is a writer of fantasy, horror, historical, and romance blends. She has a BS in Psychology, is an Army veteran, and is working on her MFA in Creative Writing. Her prose piece “In This Hole” was published in the 2018 edition of The Beacon. She was raised in the Houston area and currently lives in upstate New York with her husband, dog, and cat. Her passions include mental health, environmentalism, cryptids, and literacy. When she’s not writing, she’s stressing about not writing, and can be found reading, playing video games, getting tattoos, ripping invasive plants out of her garden, and arguing that Boromir is the most underrated LOTR character.
